Melanie Gorman has been a business owner for over 19 years, but COVID protocols compelled her to find a studio style salon space that would allow her to service her existing clientele in a safe environment. She opened her space in November 2020 at 60 Island Street.

Lawrence was a natural location for her: her grandparents moved here (from Maine) years ago to work in the mills and build their families. Melanie was born in Lawrence, and now feels like she’s back at “home” and part of the community.

She’s had the same clientele for over 26 years, who come from all over New England, so 60 Island Street’s location right off 495 was a bonus.
